Today I did Monday's school because I did Friday's school yesterday, because we thought we were having piano today, but we rescheduled to monday.
Tonight the Klines are sleeeping over. See Hannah's blog about that (doryack.blogspot.com). I'm excited too, because we rarely get to see them, but it would be a shame to lose contact when we've been friends literally all our lives.
This afternoon we had art and were almost late because I just had to be a normal teenage girl and take my time ...no, that's not right, I was rushing...take forever...still not right...because I had to put on mascara and blow dry my hair. But we weren't. And I had fun listening to my friends pick on each other (they were just joking, so it was quite amusing.
I've been reading Mere Christianity in school. It's very good if you can stick with it. It's not too bad in the way of driness and stuffiness. Not bad at all. And it's gotten me on the subject of the world we live in, and why it's so bad. And also reading my history books has gotten me thinking about it. And the conclusion I have come to is that (and I had a whole long thing here that didn't make much sense and that I wasn't satisfied with) we have to love each other (wow, profound). But it is. Because the world we live in is made up of individuals, and if people in business and government and in school treated each other lovingly and acted in righteousness, think how many problems would be solved. No scandals, no hatred, no murder, no crime, no cheating, tada! Aren't I brilliant! Ok, so I read it in the Bible, but, hey, everyone needs to be reminded. Constantly. So, here, I'll remind you again: act in love and righteousness and everything will be ok. Tada! Voila! Oh, and don't forget to remind other people to act in love and righteousness. If I'm forgetting anything in my equation for a perfect world, let me know. And I'm going to rule out the possibility that I'm forgetting a relationship with God, because the only way people can consistently act in love and righteousness is if they're spending time with him a lot and have him helping them with everything. So, if everyone just does all that, world hunger will be solved! :) But seriously, somebody's gotta do something!
