Update on sickness

I woke up this morning seriously thirsty and dehydrated (even though I drank A LOT of water yesterday). Then Dad checked my temperature and it was 102.9. Not good. So I took some Advil and ate a popsicle and went to the doctor. She said I have a sinus infection. I'm the only one in our family who gets them. I've only gotten one once before, in February 2004, right before our trip to Florida, but it was more like a never ending cold then.

It's really not too terrible to be sick--I mostly feel ok if my head's resting on something, and I just get to lay around and listen to HP on tape and eat popsicles. The bad parts are: I'm going to have a lot of schoolwork to catch up on and I have to take antibiotics. I hate taking medicine, though I'm sadly getting good at it. It's not a pill, it's chewable, and it tastes better than "the purple stuff" (which is my ultimate medicine nemesis) but it's still medicine.

I'm going to watch the Princess Bride this afternoon I think, because the boy in it is sick. :) It seems like he had what I have--fever and a bit of a cough. But until then, Jelly Blobs of Doom, Kiko Match, and Freaky Factory await.

Princess Bride is a great movie.

Just wondering, have you ever had your wisdom teeth removed? Sometimes the wisdom teeth are very close to the sinuses and by removing them can cause more frequent sinus infections. If you haven't had them removed, the next time you go into the dentist ask them to do a full x-ray of your mouth to see how close the wisdoms are to the sinuses. That might be the problem.
