GUESS WHAT!

MY CACTUS HAS FLOWERS ON IT!!!!!
The yellow one! (see my april 16th 2005 post) That's never happened before, I'm so excited! They're really just tiny buds, but they're hot pink and they're BEAUTIFUL! There are going to be a bunch of them. I think it's because it's been perfect cactus weather--oh, and I haven't watered them in awhile, and also it's been getting pretty cool at night.

I'll take lots and lots of pictures and put them on here--along with LT ones. :D! :))!!

I LOVE YOU GUYS!

I just read allayalls comments and now I'm euphoric again. You guys just have this habit of making my day after a long day of babysitting. It's so great to have people who love you. :)) I don't know why that made me feel so great, but it did, so whatever--I'm not going to argue. :D

Sisterhood of the traveling pants

I just finished the third one and I can't decide if every male should read it as a kind of life preparation book, or if no males should be allowed to read it because then they would know too much about how our brains work.
continued next day
The pschology is very interesting. So it might make all you guys out there freak out. Maybe I'm overreacting (I tend to be saying that a lot lately.)

They're very well written books, with well-developed characters. But the thing I like the most is that the 4 girls that it's about are always there for each other. They do some pretty stupid stuff and make some bad decisions, but in the end, they all...well...can't say do the right thing, but they make it right. The way they go about making it right isn't necessarily the right thing, but it is in their minds cuz they're not Christians. They're really funny and entertaining books, they grab you and don't let you go till you're done--much like Harry Potter.

I think I'm what's called euphoric.

Which means I'm either going to fall asleep immediately or stay up till midnight rejoicing.

Look up euphoric, please.

so I"m kind of addicted to blogs this morning...I don't know what's with me. But nobody else has posts so I decided I'd better make one. I'm big on ellipses this morning, too. Weird.

My hair is really long now. I think I'll get it cut sometime here...not cut cut, just a good trim and some layers maybe and get it angled.

I'm still in my pjs and haven't brushed my teeth or washed my face or anything and I'm thinking I should probably do that sometime today but I'm feeling less than enthusiastic. Like, getting dressed sometime before choir would probably be a good idea. But I think I'll mess around with my avatar instead. Can you tell I'm a little lethargic? Probably because I had iluvccrunners over this weekend and didn't really have a quiet time. oops/oh well.

THAT WAS SUCH A RANDOM POST! but I'm IMing a bunch of people now so I'll just leave it at that.

side note--they don't have any good pinks for posting in! this is like orangish

The Llama song

I have a question: when you watch the llama song, do you watch the pictures or the words?

I watch the words. I'm just wondering if it's different for everyone.

???????????????????

Another goodbye post...

Well...we've all been wondering how to break this to the next person, but Jamie and Ruthie, the youth leaders at our church, are moving an hour away by the end of the week. All of a sudden. So

The good

This is definitely God's will and God's timing. They kept giving him doors that he could possibly close and he kept them open.
We all wish we could've known this a little earlier, like the beginning of the summer...? But if we had known then and started looking for replacements (that seems like such a harsh word, but there you go) at the beginning of the summer, the people who are in place now wouldn't have been in place then. Just an example of how God provides, even when his ways of providing aren't ours.
Another good thing is that now they'll have e-mail. I would've been super sad if they wouldn't have had e-mail, cuz that's my main way of keeping up with people long distance.

The bad

We're all sad, and we're going to miss each other. Blah. I don't like thinking about "the bad" all that much, so I'll just leave it at that. Short but sweet. Haha (read it exactly like that, "haha."Not supposed to signify actual laughter), "short but sweet" might be the cliche, but in this case it should be "bitter and fortunately short."

It's kinda funny (nothing in this post that is funny is actually funny, in case you haven't noticed. It's all funny weird, not funny haha): The bad list might be a lot shorter in length, but it's a lot more deeply felt. Oh well. We've had "practice" in Jamie and Ruthie being gone before--they were in LA schoolyear before last.

It's God's will, so it'll end up good. :-)

Since you insist...

Vacations
(particularly LT and family reunion)

Weeks like these
are magic
not real life
but insane,

Too much fun
too much love
to pack in
everyday.

Enchanted week
with new routine
new people
lots of games,

Buddy (/cousin)time
with so much fun
so much laughs
so not tame.

Want to keep
want to save
don't let mem'ries
fade away,

Bottle up
pack away
get it out
one rainy day.

Keep the feelings
and the heart
community
with each their part.

And when it's time
to say goodbye
we'll find the hope
and will not cry.

I'm sure the rhythms are all weird when it's not in my head. I don't know. I'm not sure how much actually reads right and how much is what I do with voice inflections and such, that you can't put on paper. The italics kind of are to show sections. *shrug* Hope yall like it.

Energy to really tired.

Yesterday at the church picnic I had so much energy!!!!!! I was so excited to get back to real life and e-mail cousins and see my friends that I was totally pumped up! But I worked my muscles way too hard. (I am so out of shape!) I hurt. As a result, my motto today is:

Yesterday, I had the energy of a five year old.
Today, I have the limp of an eighty-five year old.

Trip #2

This one was to WV. See Doreeeeee's blog. All I have to add to what she said was: It was SO MUCH FUN. We laughed so hard, nobody got in a fight, we had so much free time to play together. I wrote a poem. I'm not sure if I'm going to put it on. If y'all beg hard enough I might. I think this was the best family reunion ever. I love you guys! (Ahem: yall.)
